Then they turned back from them, and they said: ‘Sprite-affected taught one.’
The Meccan pagans were raising the allegation that the Lord’s Book was sorcery and that It was taught to Muhammad by someone, and thus Muhammad had become a Jinn-affected man. This was the same allegation raised by all people toward the Messengers deputed to them and the Message they were sent with, as explained in verses 15: 6, 11; and 36: 30.
Today, the Arabic Quran-reading Fujjar all over the world, while accepting the names of Messengers and Prophets but leading a life opposite to the Message of Adhikr, are killing the Prophets as explained in verses 3: 21–22. If they are mentioned as the worst creatures among 1000 communities of the Lord’s creatures in verse 8: 22, then in verse 98: 6 they are mentioned as the worst creatures in the land.
